The open exhaust is probably more than what those simple carb adjustments can make up for. You probably need a slightly larger main jet and if available ?? an undersized slide needle. I'm sure a needle could be turned on a lathe, polishing off about .001 inch. That'd be my guess. Pick up a spare needle in case you screw up. I would think the white spacer trick isn't enough for a wide open pipe. ....Krug
